An Indie Book Event Video Preview.. Starring ME

Holy shit you guys! I grew a set of lady balls the other day and filmed myself giving you all a sneak peek preview of what I'll be talking about at The Indie Book Event on July 30th.

Come and support me so I don't feel like a big ole ugly loser, ok? OK?!

*I owe Michael Davidson an apology. I don't know why I said "Open TOE Press" because in my head I heard myself saying "Tiny TOE Press" but there you have it, video don't lie!

** and how about that god-awful freeze frame of my face! I could crawl under the covers in embarrassment and never ever come back out!

  1. This is very interesting. I haven't given much thought to the difference between the three different "indie" routes. I don't live in NY but I hope you have fun! (And wow, a video! That was awesome.)

  2. Erika, you have no idea how hard it was for me to do this! I enjoy hiding behind my TNBBC-ness, so to film myself and post it has been an anxiety filled, indecisive trouble spot for me. I finally decided "what the hell" and hit the upload button as the hubby, kids, and I went out to dinner. I figured if I wasn't here, I couldn't cancel the upload ....

  4. Awww Kit, you are too cool for school, but the camera does NOT love me. I don't know who that girl in the youtube box is. It's kinda like hearing your voice on someone's answering machine, you know? I'm thinking.. I dont LOOK like THAT when I talk, do I? Ewwww.... (hahaha)

  5. You did really great, Lori! You didn't stumble on your words and say the same phrases over and over again like a moron like I do during vlogs :) I just worked up the guts to start them a couple of weeks ago, so believe me - I know how crazy hard it is to go for it. Seriously - you should keep doing them!

  6. Allison, you are a sweetie! I caught myself saying "Straight Up" twice, which I NEVER say, so I think Paula Abdul abducted my vocal cords temporarily there. ha!

I was actually shocked that I didn't say "uhm" a lot.
