Megan's Way Giveaway

Melissa Foster, founder of The Women's Nest, has offered to give away 3 signed copies of her novel "Megan's Way"!

Here is book description according to Goodreads:

"What would you give up for the people you love?

When Megan Taylor, a single mother and artist, receives the shocking news that her cancer has returned, she'll be faced with the most difficult decision she's ever had to make. She'll endure an emotional journey, questioning her own moral and ethical values, and the decisions she'd made long ago. The love she has for her daughter, Olivia, and her closest friends, will be stretched and frayed.

Meanwhile, fourteen-year-old Olivia's world is falling apart right before her eyes, and there's nothing she can do about it. She finds herself acting in ways she cannot even begin to understand. When her internal struggles turn to dangerous behavior, her life will hang in the balance.

Megan's closest friends are caught in a tangled web of deceit. Each must figure out how, and if, they can expose their secrets, or forever be haunted by their pasts."
Take a peek at the book trailer here.

  1. Hi Lori, I'd love to win a copy of this book and enter into any discussions on it.
This book has been on my TBR list on Goodreads since April 9, 2010 and I am still intrigued by the plot description.
Thanks for this opportunity. Please thank Melissa Foster for me, too.

  2. Hey Petra, thanks for the interest! This book will not be featured as a discussion on TNBBC, at least - not in the near future, because of the ones that are already scheduled out. However, I would encourage the three winner (whoever they will be) to head over to TNBBC and start up a "Wanna Discuss This Novel" thread to discuss as they go, if they like :)

  7. I am very interested in this book because of what I went through last year. First,a M protein was found in my blood. Then I under went a battery of tests (including a bone marrow biopsy) to see if I had Multiple Myleoma (a rare bone marrow cancer that has no cure but does have treatment). Then because of the results of a CT scan of my body, I had to have a biopsy of a lymph in my chest. That was to see if I had Lymphoma (cancer of lymph nodes). Finally, I was found to have Sarcoidosis (if you watch House on TV,
you have an idea of that. For three months, I went through grief feelings that I was going to die, then relief because I didn't have it and then with the next medical guess through the cycle again. It was very rugged. So I have been through the journey that the mother in this story has been through. I will be monitored for the rest of my life for MM. I can't find very many books on what people go through in this situation, in non-fiction or fiction books.

  9. Carol...{{hugs}}. I'm so sorry you went through that time. I remember the uncertainty and fear when my Mom went through the same experience. Sadly, she did have Multiple Myeloma. I am so glad that you are healthy.
My hope is that one day our World will be cancer-free.
Lori, I'm sorry to hear about your stepfather. My heart goes out to your family.
